Ray passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 73. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend to many. Rest in peace, no more pain, you are in God's hands now, and forever in our hearts.

Mass and graveside service will be held in Riverside, CA, on August 10, 2026.

Raymond Edward Call Jr. was born on December 22,1952, in Richmond, Virginia to Raymond and Helen Call. At four years of age he moved with his family to southern California when his father was stationed in San Diego with the Navy. He grew up alongside his sisters Joan and Virginia as well as his younger brother Gary in Orange County and graduated from Westminster High School in 1972. He joined the U.S. Air Force and started a family, first serving as an admin and later as a loadmaster for the rest of his tenure in active duty and later in the reserve from which he retired in 1999. During those early years he completed an associate's degree in biology from Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach. While serving in the Air Force Reserve, he began a successful career in real estate working for various companies in both southern and northern California over the years. His final retirement was in 2012.

Ray is survived by his wife Karyn Call, his children Raymond Call III (Michele), Cari Bernal (Jorge), Lisa Cummings (Bill), Shane Shaffer (Stacie), his stepchildren Angie French and Kristy Pergakis (Bryan), his grandchildren Rebecca Vis (Collin), Jeremiah Call, Anna Grace Call, John Call, Daniel Call, Christina Call, Peter Call, Lucas Call, Evan Bernal, Emma Bernal, Meadow Cummings, Charlotte Cummings, Zachary French, Nicholas French, Dylan Pardini, Kailey Pardini, Jillian Pardini, Nicholas Shaffer, Sierra Shaffer, Mitchell Shaffer, Dillan Shaffer, Josh Shaffer, and his greatgrandchildren Nathaniel Vis, Elizabeth Vis, Tabitha Vis, Anneliese Vis, Paul Walker, and Nevaeh Shaffer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church 7005 Brockton Avenue, Riverside, California.
