In Loving Memory of Robert "Bobby" Bautista-Ong

October 6, 1972 – August 3, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" Bautista-Ong, who left this world on August 3, 2025, at the age of 52. Bobby's life was marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and friend—someone whose generosity, warmth, and strength touched the lives of all who knew him.

Bobby was born on October 6, 1972, in Manila, Philippines, to Robert Orville Bautista Ong and Anita Melva Basallo Bautista. In 1990, he moved to the United States. It was in 1991 that Bobby met his future wife, Marizza. They were married on October 25, 1992, and celebrated 32 years of love, partnership, and adventure together.

Bobby was a proud father to his three beautiful girls: Kimberly, Kelly, and Kathleen. He cherished every moment spent with them and was always there to offer guidance, support, and love. His role as a father brought him great joy, and he took pride in watching his children grow into the wonderful individuals they are today. He was their Superman, always the strongest in the room and saving the day.

Professionally, Bobby worked in the field of Information Technology for 26 years. His most recent position was as an IS Support Specialist at Gibson Dunn.

Outside of his professional life, Bobby had a passion for sports—particularly his beloved San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Lakers. His home was filled with memorabilia, including 17 Niner helmets, showcasing his unwavering loyalty to his teams. At work, his name plaque proudly read "Black Mamba," a tribute to his favorite player, Kobe Bryant.

Bobby was also an avid traveler and food lover. Whether savoring a delicious meal or planning a family trip, Bobby relished in the joy of new experiences with his family. He also knew how to throw a great party—bringing people together to celebrate life, laughter, and good times.

Bobby was known for his kindness and generosity. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on. Whether it was offering advice, lending support, or simply being there for someone in need, Bobby's caring nature made him a pillar of strength for his family and friends. He was a loving father and husband, and the most supportive brother and uncle.

Bobby's health took a difficult turn when he was diagnosed with myelofibrosis. Despite undergoing a bone marrow transplant and battling complications from graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), he faced his illness with courage and determination. Even in the toughest of times, Bobby's positivity and resilience never wavered. His strength throughout his journey was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Marizza Bautista-Ong; his children, Kimberly, Kelly, and Kathleen; his sister, Yvette Campos; and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever miss him.

Rest in peace, Superman. You will always be loved, celebrated, and you will never be forgotten.
