Funeral services for Robert Garrick will start at 10:00 on Monday, August 21, 2017. He will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Road in Dixon. Robert will be interned next to his father in the National Cemetery. Both father and son will be presented with full military honors.

Robert James Garrick, 57 of Vacaville California, died July 25, 2017 after a sudden illness. He was born on January 3, 1960 in Victorville California, the son of Bert C. and Ann L. (Lanz) Garrick. Robert is survived by his wife Mary (Wood) Garrick;  daughter Laura Beatty of Vacaville, California and son Daniel Beatty of Vacaville, California; granddaughters Deonna, Samantha and Audrey; two brothers William and Andrew; one sister Dora; many cousins nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann (Lanz) Garrick; Bert Garrick.
The world lost a great man, a loving husband, dedicated father and grandfather, supportive brother and a dear friend to many. Bob was a true leader who inspired others. He was funny, intelligent, and had impeccable character. Bob had phenomenal intelligence enjoying a wide range of subjects including Bluegrass music, baking for the family, Beltway politics, Ethics and Law, American Civics,  Middle Eastern wars and up-to-the-minute international happenings. He also volunteered one day a week at the local Lawyer at the Library giving his free legal advice.
In addition to his astonishing legal, logical, and political mind... Bob was proud to be a:
Marine Corp Gulf War veteran.
Son of a Korean War veteran.
Great Grandson of a Philippine Insurrection veteran.
Great-great grandson of a Civil War (US) veteran.
5th and 6th great grandson of Revolutionary War veterans.
He will be missed beyond words.
