Roberto Manuel Saddi or most of us knows him as "Berting", died unexpectedly on July 16, 2021 at the age of 74.Roberto is survived by his wife Lilia Saddi; his children Rolando(Donabell), Robert(Jennifer) and Eileen; and his grandchildren RJ, Camille, Darroll, Elijah and Randell. His siblings Diomedes, Alejandria, Leto, Hermes, Roman, and Arceli. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings Benigno, Pilipinas, Efren, Mario, and Eufemia. Roberto was born on November 3, 1946 to Esmeraldo and Marcelina Saddi. He joined the US Navy, and after 22 years he retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1990. He then join the Department of Corrections and retired after 20 years in 2010. After retirement, he spends most of his time enjoying what he loves, gardening. He enjoyed sharing his fruits and vegetables to family and friends. Roberto is a simple man and always has a smile on his face.Roberto was a devoted husband and a caring father. All he wanted was the best for his children. He worked so hard to give his family a good life and he became the anchor of the Saddi family and brought most of his family members here in America to pursue their American dream.

A viewing is scheduled on July 26 and July 27, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM, a vigil service on the 27th with Father Eric Flores at the Vaca Hills Chapel in Vacaville, CA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on July 28, 2021 at 10:30 A.M with Father Joshy Mathews, CMI of St. Joseph Church located 1791 Marshall Rd, Vacaville officiating. Burial will follow at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
