Roland "Ron" Hanley, peacefully passed at the age of 77 on January 17, 2024, in Vacaville, California. Born to Roland and Elaine on July 11, 1946, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Ron leaves behind a legacy of love in his children: David Hanley and his wife Yvonne, Christine Hanley Simons, and Denise Hanley Lomeli, his nine grandchildren, Melanie and her husband Trevor, Johnathen, Britnie and her husband Kagen, Roland "Ronnie," Matthew, Baylie and her wife Melissa, Ryan, Hailey, and William.  He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jorden, Cooper, Camden, and Violet, who will continue to honor his memory. Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Diane "Dee" Condon. Ron was a loving and loyal Dad, Grampy and Son.

A Veteran of the Air Force, Ron served his country with honor and pride for 8½ years until his Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. His post-military career was marked by a 21-year tenure with Pacific Bell where his favorite position was as a lineman. Ron's leisure time when younger was often spent on the softball field. Ron was an excellent bowler, having bowled several 300 games as well as an 800 series. He was a die-hard Red Sox fan and made sure to watch as many games as he could. In his later years, he could always be found cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

A memorial service will be held to honor Ron's life on February 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Vaca Hills Chapel in Vacaville, California.
