Rosemary
Fox
Jan 19, 1932 — Jan 18, 2025
Rosemary Katherine Micheli Fox was born on January 19, 1932, in Coalinga, California, the second of two daughters to Arthur "Mike" Micheli and Furnn Velma Akers Micheli. Rosemary grew up in Coalinga, living outside of town in a small house on a hill until the second grade. When she was 4 years old and her future husband Ralph Lee Fox was 5, he and his family moved into the small house on the next hill over; 17 years later, they wed on December 27, 1952.
Ralph was in the Army Air Corps, stationed at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan, until news of a much-wanted baby brought them back to the States in 1962. They adopted their only child, Lori Lane Fox, born December 24, 1962, at birth. They moved from Sacramento to Fairfield, California, in 1964, where they lived until 1972, when they moved to Vacaville. Rosemary was a stay-at-home mom until Lori turned 18 and entered UC Davis in the fall of 1981, when she went back to work as a secretary at Travis Air Force Base. She retired from the 602nd Organizational Maintenance Squadron in 1998.
Rosemary died on January 18, 2025, surrounded by her daughter Lori, her grandson Andrew, and her granddaughter Willow. Her husband of 39 years, Ralph Lee Fox; her sister, Maxine Ione Micheli Joyce; her beloved nephew, William "Bill" Arthur Joyce; and numerous cherished dogs preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Lane Fox; grandsons Andrew Patrick Rigney and Dustin Garrett Rigney, and his wife Autumn Rigney; granddaughter Willow Grace Rigney; and great-granddaughters Laine Elizabeth Rigney and Kate Caroline Rigney; niece Jean Marie Joyce Conrad and husband Wayne Conrad; and nephew Michael William Joyce and wife Karen Joyce.
