With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Rosita Monteclaro Orzame Rafael, a radiant presence whose warmth and kindness illuminated our lives. Rosita peacefully departed on April 11, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever resonate within us.

Born on December 30, 1933, in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Rosita began her journey as an educator at a tender age. She received her Elementary Teacher Certificate at just 16 years old, igniting a lifelong passion for teaching. Her educational journey culminated in her earning a Masters from Northeast Missouri State University in the United States. Over her three-decade career in Missouri and California, Rosita's dedication to teaching touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on her students and colleagues alike.

Rosita's laughter was infectious, capable of brightening even the darkest of days. Her genuine kindness knew no bounds, and her unwavering optimism inspired all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Nicomedes Orzame and Josefa Monteclaro Orzame, and her dear siblings, Nelson Monteclaro Orzame, Angelita Orzame Alano, and Adoracion Orzame Pascual. Their absence leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of those who held them dear, their memories serving as a beacon of solace in this time of profound loss.

Rosita is survived by her sons, Rosdeo Manluco (Cynthia) and Rossel Rafael (Jennifer), her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Manluco (Mandy), Athena Atienza (Angelo), Roel, and Jessel Rafael, and her three adored great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Victoria Atienza, and Makai Manluco,  Makai, as well as her brother, Amador Orzame.

As we mourn Rosita's loss, let us hold onto the memories of her laughter and kindness. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
