Shirley L. Junier

Shirley Lorraine Junier, age 83, has entered into her rest and the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Shirley was born in Oakland, CA to Samuel and Sadie Kuraica. She was the youngest of four children.
She attended local schools in Oakland and graduated from Fremont High School in 1952.
She married Henry "Hank" Junier in 1954 and remained married 57 years until his passing in 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend.
She and her husband lived in various bay area locations, the last being Union City before moving to Vacaville in 1988. They attended churches in the bay area and the First Assembly of God Church in Fairfield when moving to Vacaville.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzette and her husband Phil Woolworth also of Vacaville and by nieces and nephews including Ken Kuraica, Sharyn Bankston, Tim Darcy and his wife Allison, Tony Junier, Mike Junier and great-nephew Andrew Darcy; cousin Marvin Baldwin and many other family members and friends, all whom she loved deeply. She had numerous pets through the years and leaves behind her beloved dog, Roxie, also to grieve her passing.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sam and Stanley Kuraica and sister Beverly Fowler.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the staff at VacaValley Hospital and the In-Home Healthcare Providers for their loving attention, especially the last 18 months, as Shirley faced multiple health issues.

Private interment has taken place at her late husband's burial site at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 24th at 1 pm at Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687
