Thomas Anthony DiFrancesco Sr.
July 16, 1954 – April 15, 2025

Thomas Anthony DiFrancesco Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy built with strong hands, a big heart, and an undying love for his family.

Born on July 16, 1954, Tom was known for his remarkable ability to build, fix, and create just about anything. Whether it was a broken toy, leaky faucet, or a bad day, he had a way of making things right for everyone around him. A natural builder and lifelong tinkerer, he took pride in his craftsmanship and passed down that same work ethic and Macgyver knowledge to his children. He was tough, loyal, and never afraid to roll up his sleeves—whether it was for work, barbies and legos with his children, or a backyard project.

In his younger years, Tom was also a dedicated rugby player, a sport he enjoyed for its camaraderie and physical challenge. His love for sports was also evident in his lifelong loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles. As a devoted fan, he could often be found watching the games with friends and family, decked out in an ever-present Eagles hat and a team jersey.

Beyond his talents and hobbies, Tom was a man of deep faith and commitment. He was an active member of Valley Church, where he was a regular participant in the men's prayer group. His faith guided him throughout his life, and he found strength in prayer and community.

He is predeceased by his parents William and Mary (Boyd) DiFrancesco, and brother Jimmy DiFrancesco. Tom is survived by his three beloved children, Thomas Jr., Melissa, and William, who were the center of his world, and his former wife, Cathy, with whom he shared many years and memories. He is also survived by his siblings: Billy (Debbie), Michael, Eddie (Rachel), Peggy and Ellen. Tom additionally leaves behind a circle of many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who knew they could always count on him, and a garage full of tools that will never be used quite the same way again.

His ability to connect with people, his selflessness, and his genuine heart will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
