Verlyne Elsie Wilson passed away suddenly in her home in Vacaville on April 17, 2018. Wife of the late William John Wilson.  Adored mother of four children, son Dale Wilson who preceded her in death.  Daughters Candace Cairo (Kimon) and Tammy Astells (Craig) of Millbrae, Kim Weaver (Stanley) of Vacaville and eleven loving grandchildren and five adored great grand children. Survived by brother Wally Bannig and sister Claudine Campbell of Canada. Verlyne was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchwan Canada on August 16, 1931, to Vera and Claude Banning and relocated to San Bruno, California in 1960 and then moved to Vacaville in 2000. She worked as a office manager for JCPenney for over 30 years. She was a member of Beta Signa Phi soroity chapter for 60 years.

A funeral service will be held at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 1. Prior to the funeral, a viewing will begin at 9:00 am.

Family and friends will gather as she is laid to rest at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma at 11:00 on Wednesday, May 2.
