A Mass of Christian Burial for William "Bear" Desimone, 62 of Vacaville, will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Vacaville. He will be laid to rest at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

William was affectionately known as "Bear" due to his gregarious personality and kind heart. He was born in Oakland, CA to Francis and Shirley Desimone. He grew up in the Bay Area where he attended De La Salle High School, Napa College and St. Mary's College Moraga.

Bear was a family man. He was a devoted husband and doting father who also loved animals and nature, especially his four legged furry kids, his dogs. He was very artistic, and took pleasure in painting and carving walking sticks. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and creating spice mixtures, "Bears Blends". He had a passion for learning and was an avid reader throughout his life. He was strong and selfless and a friend to many.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Cindy; daughters, Brittany (Jorge), Caitlyn and Shelby; granddaughter, Jordan; grandson, Adrian; brothers, Ralph (Brigitte), Jerry (Ana), Tom (Erma), Joe and Jay (Kristen); sisters, Laurie, Linda (Louis) and Theresa (Dan); many nieces and nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan; parents, Francis and Shirley; and sister, Jan.
