The family of William "Bill" C Green, age 81, of Vacaville, sadly announces his passing on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. Bill's loving wife, Janie, was at his side when he said his final farewell.

Bill was born on June 15, 1941, to Roscoe and Iva Green in Elk City, Oklahoma, before the family eventually moved to California. In 1959, Bill graduated from Richmond HS and enlisted in the US Air Force, serving proudly and honorably in the legal profession for over 20 years. He went on to share his legal expertise with the state of California for another ten years at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Early in his military career, Bill married his childhood sweetheart, Janie Honey, cementing a special, lifelong union between the Green and Honey families. Bill and Janie went on to raise two sons, Bill Jr. and Tim.

Bill loved his God and his Family. He spent his time serving, laughing, singing and helping others. He taught initiative, effort, discipline, accountability, and perseverance. He was honest and genuine.  He is missed on earth but welcomed in heaven by those lost before him, especially his mother and father, sisters Jewell, Freda, Donna and Debbie; and, most certainly, Aunt Doris and Uncle Pete.

He is survived by his wife, Janie, sons Bill Jr. and Tim, daughters-in-law Anita and Jenni, grandchildren Joshua, Mariana, Austin and Shelby; and brothers and sisters, Frank Honey, Ed Brand, Ted and Carol Honey, Judy and Carroll Rosburg, Tom and Nancy Honey and many amazing nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Vaca Hills Chapel on Nov 16th at 10:30 am. Military Honors rendered immediately following at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, just after 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Celebrate Recovery Group at Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville at the following link.
